Why I built it
More than a cute photo and a generic list
Choosing a dog is often framed around appearance and a handful of positive traits. I wanted a tool that also keeps time, exercise, training, grooming, health, climate, and management needs in view—before someone makes a life-changing decision.
How it works
Sources first, certainty second
BreedCue turns published guidance from breed clubs, veterinary and welfare organizations, kennel organizations, and other established sources into comparable everyday tendencies. When the evidence is not strong enough, the site says so instead of filling the gap.
What it cannot do
No algorithm can promise the individual dog
Breed-level tendencies are only a starting point. Genetics, early experience, health, training, environment, and personality all matter. That is why BreedCue avoids a made-up compatibility percentage and explains the reasoning behind every result.
